How does Swiftaid make money?

To make sure Swiftaid can continue to help charities with Gift Aid, Swiftaid needs to be a sustainable business.

Swiftaid charges a Swiftaid charges a 5% fee based on the amount of Gift Aid claimed per donation.

Swiftaid takes care of the entire process, including record keeping and auditing required by HMRC. Swiftaid matches a donation to the donor, creates a declaration and sends a claim to HMRC. The Gift Aid then makes its way straight from HMRC to the charity. All without the charity lifting a finger.

There is no fee for donors.

In the future, we aim to introduce optional services for charities with value-add features beyond claiming Gift Aid. We’re still working on how features like this might work and will share more soon!
